    1. Wordpress: Across the board, this is the blogging platform consumers like the best. It’s free, versatile, and easy to use. You can create homepages, custom templates, and interact with your followers. You can import from another blogging platform if you so choose.
    2. TextPattern: The main competition for Wordpress. It’s got more or less the same features; it just doesn’t have nearly as much internet supporters as Wordpress does. It’s also free and it allows you to tag your post so you can repost them if you wanted to. This platform is a web designer’s bread and butter. It’s flexible and easy to edit templates to your needs.
    3. Tumblr: This fun, free, “hipster” platform is gaining popularity among the younger consumer. Tumblr makes it easy to share links, videos, pictures, and text among users. It’s the more “artsy” platform, but companies like Victoria’s Secret and Lookbook.nu are jumping on this rising blog.
    4. Blogger: Blogger is one of the oldest blogging platforms out right now. It’s powered and supported by Google. It’s easily the most professional of all the platforms listed. You can have ads placed in your blog, you can connect other users through other platforms, and it’s so simple to find other blogs that pertain to what you want to write about.
    5. Livejournal: This platform has a dual purpose. It started out as an online journal but quickly morphed into a giant platform for internet users to share their thoughts and pictures. Life & Style magazine uses Livejournal to produce news quickly to their readers.

There are so many options out there for blogging and these are just the most used blogs. If you want to learn about more platforms, click on one of the links below:
